Fort Myers, A Place For Unforgettable Wedding Photography

The Fort Myers Beach area has many beautiful beaches for destination weddings. Sanibel and Captiva are two islands off the coast of Fort Myers in the Gulf of Mexico where many marriage ceremonies take place.

On Sanibel Island, I have photographed a bride and groom intimate ceremony which is completed in just one hour. I also photograph typical weddings with a reception. At some Fort Myers weddings, upwards of one hundred chairs are placed on the beach where the guests are seated. After the ceremony, wedding photographs are captured of family members by the seashore while the guests walk up to the resort reception area for cocktails. The bride and groom usually join their wedding guests prior to dinner as they watch the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.

As a professional photographer on the beaches of Fort Myers  for over twenty years, I am still amazed that weddings can occur on the beach in January! Prior to relocating to Fort Myers, I attended the Art Institute of Boston. I assisted at my father’s photography studio in Boston and worked as a photojournalist for Boston area newspapers.
